Bunsis is a great person, but teaching and making sure you understand is slightly difficult. All homework assignments come with tips. You only use the textbook for the homework, and he recommends you email him nonstop about the homework to be sure that you understand how to do the work. Overall cool guy and cool professor. He loves being sarcastic.

Bunsis is such a great professor. He is sarcastic but it makes him more personable and allows you to learn the material without such a tense environment. One of the best prof I've had. All around a great guy. Makes tax easy if you apply yourself.

He actually makes the class interesting. You don't use the book except for on the test where you have open book test. They test aren't necessarily easy but if you pay attention in class and look over the notes, it isn't too hard. On the homework assignments you can email him your answers multiple times until you have them all right.

Great Teacher. You can email him the hw ahead of time and he'll tell you what's wrong so you can fix it. Also, tax can be dry but he is really funny. I hope I get to have him again in future classes. Take the class from him. -Phil

If you are easily offended by sarcasm or easily intimidated by aggressive people, you might want to steer clear. He is very blunt and is not afraid to make fun of you for dumb mistakes. However, he wants everyone to succeed and really knows his stuff. Class was always fun and enjoyable. Looked forward to it every day. Great guy! Great instructor!

This particular class is very hard, but he will work with you until the bitter end for you to get it. He is very helpful if you come to him. He can be a little rough around the edges, though. Be prepared if you can't take a little playful criticism.

The thing about Bunsis is you have to *ask* for help. He does not give help freely unless asked for it. If you email him, he usually responds within a few hours.He is witty to boot. Good class you will work ahrd and learn a lot!

Bunsis is one of the best professors I've had since I've been at EMU. He was very helpful and always helped when i had trouble understanding something. His class is a little challenging and hes a little harsh at times but deal with it, youll be better of in the long run. Highly recommend.

Bunsis is an excellent professor. He makes the class time fly by with his witty humor and interest in sports. He is very opinionated, but does his best to make sure everyone understands the material. Responds quickly to e-mails and wants to see you succeed. I would definitely recommend this professor to anyone wanting to enjoy learning tax.

Bunsis is tough. He does pick on certain students and he does seem to waste some time on side topics (movies, politics, etc.)... That said, you will learn more from him than just about any other accounting prof out there. He really focuses on applying what you've learned to real companies. Do the work and use his notes and you'll be fine.

Bunsis is harsh, but some leniency should be afforded considering his level of education. The list of JD?s and U of C PhD?s lining up to teach at EMU is short, so I appreciate him for that. If you don?t have a sense of humor you should avoid all of his classes; otherwise, you will learn a lot of information you will be revisiting in your career.

Great teacher. Very dedicated to teaching. Long homework assignments, but worth every minute. You will not learn more in any other class guranteed. Exams are long but pertain to every homework assignment and he gives you an example exam to study. Many office hours and responds to emails quickly. Great guy to know for your future. Love him!
