Dr. Goldie is a good professor. Lectures can be boring, but he is passionate about Microbiology and shows it through his funny little anecdotes. Class and test material is very straightforward, no surprises or gimmicks. Very fair overall.

Means extremely well and is always willing to help with any confusing concepts. Goes out of his way to accommodate students. Lectures are extremely dry, but material is straightforward and exams are very simply put. Tends to dwell on his proofreading errors. :)

Dr. Goldie can be a bit dry in lectures, but is crystal clear in his objectives and his notes. His questions on the midterm and final are what saved me in this course, due to their straightforward nature. Plus, he is genuine with his interests in having students be excited about Microbiology.

You'll be begging for this guy back after Hayes takes over. Didn't appreciate him quite enough until he was gone. Lectures are rather boring but he makes an effort to answer questions. Very specific exam questions. His section is basically just metabolic pathways...memorization to the rescue. Go to class or his notes are useless!

Means well and tries hard, but is still very confusing in lectures. His Ppt. notes are difficult to follow unless you've also been to lectures- however, still MUCH better than the other prof's (Hayes). Attending lectures helps a lot with his part of the class! Also he will do his best to help you if you ask questions, both in and out of class.

Very Disorganized!! The notes were brutal! Everything revolved around old, antiquated theories and enzyme systems. Slight note of corruption. Failing the final doesn't mean you can't pass with flying colors. Ah sweet music!

very disorganized, TERRIBLE handouts - can't read a thing on them. it's obvious several times a lecture that the students have a better understanding of the papers being discussed than he does. Nice guy though, means well and is always willing to help
