I literally love professor Dupont. She's the best and doesn't give a lot of work. There's weekly 1 page papers about interesting topics as well as a group project and a final 5 page paper that's opinion based. Class is based on discussions and videos but all topics are interesting and are current events. Lots of extra credit opportunities too!

This class was so interesting. Also because of it's subject you can use it for a few different major subjects. She was really interesting and encouraged discussion. The class wasn't too difficult and the main work is a presentation and paper on the subject.

Ida is easily my favorite professors. Absolutely amazing discussions and she get's real with you. Every week you write a two page paper but she's an extremely lenient grader as long as you put in the effort and actually express yourself. Awesome awesome woman.

Comment:

I thought this class was extremely interesting and Dupont did a really good job of explaining all the in depth aspects of the material. There's a 2 page paper every week but she's pretty lenient with grading as long as you write insightful papers. There is a lot of reading, but no tests at all which is a plus side. All in all I really enjoyed it.

Ms. Dupont was an amazing teacher! She is always so bubbly and happy and you can tell she is extremely passionate about what it is she is teaching. Did not have a test- and there was a weekly paper due that was super easy as long as you followed the guidelines and read the chapter! Would definitely take again!

Professor Ida Dupont is made my entire class. Helpful, engaging and passionate about the class and content, she involved the entire class. As long as you are present and listening you're going to love her and her class. If you don't care, then you're wasting both your time and hers. But all in all, she made my semester.

2/3 pg weekly paper, pretty easy. one 15 min presentation, ehh. 12 pg research paper at the end, can be easy depends on topic. then a 10 minute presentation on your research which is easy cause you pretty much wrote about it or will write about it. in addition, watched movies a lot. she's bad ass but you'll survive. received a b+.

Violence class is very interesting. we watch alot of really cool documentaries that really get your brain moving. i would definatly say take this class if your a criminal justice major or minor or have any interest at all in that feild.

a lot of assignments, not too hard... i took to classes with her one wasn't too bad the other one a nightmare so many assignments, boring class but she is overall a good teach and nice and fair, though i agree she is a very though grader!!! do your work, show up to class and you'll do ok--ps she is really cute to look at!!

Despite what everyone else has said, she isn't a hard grader. She expects you to write at a college level, which means you need to be able to analyze the readings. I did half the reading and showed up to class and I got an A. She is awesome!
