She's nice and very helpful if you have questions and don't understand a concept. She's a tough professor that requires students to study long study guides, but she is fair and gives out a lot of extra credit to help out.

Great lecturer. Her lectures are funny, entertaining, and informative. I didn't like how she gave us 300 something plus study guides questions to look at for an exam. That's too much work when you have other courses, and we didn't go over most of the questions in class.

This professor does not want you to learn about real content. She wants you to learn how she views the world. I thought this class might make me see new views, but it just made me annoyed of hearing them. Thank GOD she is retiring.

She's a very nice and friendly person. She's a good lecturer who's a helpful professor that will answer any questions you have. She's very patient and helpful when you don't understand concepts. I wish her exams would be based on things we went over in class instead of having a lot of exam questions based on book material we didn't go over.

Couldnt stand this class. I showed up to every class, did her study guides (which have over 400 questions on them) and still got poor grades. She constantly repeats herself throughout the semester, mainly talking about her and her partner. Wouldnt have minded if she actually taught me something worth learning in the class, but she didnt.

VERY LIBERAL! Love it! She is very enthusiastic about what she teaches. She is very biased but she owns up to it. She finds information that supports her view point rather than finding unbiased material. Not an easy A but well worth the class. You will work for your grade but shes fair and very willing to help.

This is just my first impression; however, I must say, after the first day, I am pretty impressed. Prof. Rabin is quite a character, and I mean that in a good way. Funny, upbeat, VERY LIBERAL, and definately speaks her mind. I think this semester is going to go quite well. Seems like the work load won't be too overwhelming either. We will see ... !

Took sex differences, great class, you'll learn tons. I found tests pretty easy and she's really agreeable in terms of helping students, she really wants you to do well! She tends to repeat things over and over but besides that, she's near perfect as a prof.

I took her Sex Differences class, and it was great. She knows what she's talkin about, very helpful, very understanding and accomodating. Probably one of the most competent and intelligent, and nicest, teachers you could have. But show up to class! Lots if things not in the text are on the test.

I loved this class. The info was very interesting. She takes all questions straight from the book and gives you study guides that cover EVERYTHING. If you do those, you will do just fine. She is always available to ask questions of and responds quickly to emails. I learned A LOT!

Tests are pretty specific in the question, but arent impossible if you read the handouts she gives & the book (pay attention to the examples that are listed, there will be specific ?'s on them). Do the study guide also. Gives a field guide to the zoo & aquarium that can add up to 5 points onto of the avg of your 3 test grades if you do a good job.

Terrible. She was gone for 3 weeks for "spinal surgery" (funny, she seems fine.) & gave a test the day she came back. We knew about the test but the TA's didn't review ANYTHING the entire time. We did nothing except watch two movies, and neither of them were included on the test. 19 people in my class got D's. Save yourself & take another class.

Excellent prof with a lot of experience and skill. Also a member of the safe space program at TU. Very helpful, openminded. In contrast to what other reviewers suggest, she has no problems with men and/or right-wing nut-jobs.

ALL I am going to say is WOW! A lot of work for and undergrad class. Very stuck in her ways but otherwise great. Test are beasts. They are no less than 100 questions but you get a study guide before each exam. Take another class if possible.

Imagine studying for a test as hard as you study for finals. Imagine doing it 3 times for just one class. The study guides alone are 150 questions. Trust me, there are more interesting and much easier classes to take! P.S. I did, however, enjoy her corduroy outfits...They were a real treat.

I have had two classes with Rabin now. She knows a lot about the topics she teachers but she has trouble staying on those topics. She also does not take challenge well. If you sound like you disagree with her, it throws her way off and she ends not even answering your question. Use the study guide, read the book, and stay open to new things.
