Everything is group work. I took summer session A and every 3 days a paper was due that my partner and I had to split. Shes an easy professor but it's very easy to not get an A, yet extremely easy to pass. She's very particular with what she wants in the papers and you lose points easily. Very old though with little feedback but no textbook needed.

Alonso makes this relatively easy class practically unbearable! She is very unprofessional, and gets enjoyment out of pushing her extreme feminist views on EVERYONE. And if you dare not agree with her opinion, be prepared to lose points for it! She assigns work due over Spring Break too and gives NO second chances so be warned. AVOID THIS WOMAN!

Easy class, taken two online classes with her, whole class is group work, and if you get stuck with a bad group member it could be a really long semester. Class is pretty much all busy work and is more time consuming than your core classes. it gets annoying on how much useless work you have to do for an elective, its an easy A though.

I took this class during a mini-winter semester. Dr. Alonso makes the class interesting and I took away a lot from this class. Definitely would recommend for those who enjoy researching and writing. Professor Alonso communicates often with the class, and is very kind. I would definitely take another class with her.

Contrary to popular belief she does read your assignment answers (and also gives commentary) The class is somewhat "easy" but a considerably time consuming. Personally, this is a fair trade off. There are no exams you just have to answer 2 questions from each chapter (15 in total), do 2 movie reviews and thats about it. Definitely recommend her!

Excellent professor!! I have taken 2 classes with her so far!.. I love the way she teaches and even when she makes you do a lot of research, her classes turn out to be fun, and you actually learn a lot! Very comprehensive and helpful person!

Excellent professor. You have to keep up with all the work and due dates. However, she is very comprehensive when you talk to her, and she tries to help you. Sometimes it looks that it is a lot of work (and it is). But is not that hard. I recommend her for IDH
