ENG 292L - 111. It is all spanishhhhh. Once you get past her confusing instructions, Spanish babbling, and humorous cursing and yelling, the class is THAT horrible. I wouldn't recommend the class by choice but.....

Has the distinct honor of being the worst professor I have ever had at Marist. Does not respect students as human beings, screams and regularly belittles students, and when no one participates tells us that her dog is smarter. Makes normative judgements about culture, insisting that Hispanics are better than Americans. Uses outdated and false info.

Prof Casey is amazing. I don't understand the negative comments. I've taken her for 3 semesters and while she can be a tough grader, her class is always fun - she is hilarious. She can seem a little intimidating and tough at first but deep down she is truly one of the nicest professors I've ever had. I've never had an issue.

She frequently yells at students and is known to tell students that she hates them. She is also deaf and gets frustrated when she thinks no one is talking cause she can't hear us. The textbook is incredibly expensive, even used. A horrible class.

Irma was a nice lady I just found her very confusing and not clear at times. I had trouble figuring out exactly what to study. There are only 2 tests, a final, and she assigns homework from the textbook every class. I would know Spanish before taking her class since she is confusing. Tests are tough but she is an easy grader.

She is a pretty confusing professor. She is not very clear about assignments or what is going to be on the tests. She also expects a lot of class participation and it can be annoying. Be prepared to always be speaking Spanish. There are only two tests and a final though and frequent homework. It will be easier if you have learned Spanish prior.

Love this woman! Had her for Hispanics in the US. Really interesting class!!! Her tests were pretty tough though which was a bummer because there weren't many grades. She is very enthusiastic and passionate about her classes

She is an entertaining professor who is passionate about teaching. She does care if your learning and participating, very approachable and easy to talk to if you need help. She does give vocab quizzes with warning. A composition or 2 every week which isn't bad I highly recommend her!

Hispanics in US.Prof. is a lot of fun.Shes a little out-there, big on class part,likes making fun of her students but its fun. Watched lots of movies. She didn't make us buy a text, just 3 novels,she gave us the forth.Since it was an Honr class she let us choose whether we wanted a quiz or essay.We had 4 essays, 1 response paper, and 1 final proj.

Worst teacher I have ever had. Speaks to Spanish students in Spanish, Americos feel left out. Yells in class. Tests not relevant to material covered. Leave calss each day with no joke 20 handouts. Casey is one of the most amazing teachers at Marist. She genuinely loves teaching and the material she teaches. There is never a broing moment, she is very animated.She is always willing to give extra help.Gives lower mid term grade than you have to motivate you to continue to work hard.Take her or your spanish experience at Marist is not complete.

Very crazy &loud, but nice & helpful. The tests are hard as hell. The T&F questions are vague & often opinion. Lots of reading. Very talkative so it's hard to particpate. Has an accent, but you'd have to be pretty thick not to understand what she's saying.

You have to generalize all hispanics to do good in course. Very unclear. Often late. Very load but funny. Test questions are unclear. T and F could go either way always fins exception to her questions. Gives you a grade below what you shoudl get on your Midterm...Nice lady but crazy..talks in spanish to spanish students.
