Although I heard such negative comments before I took his class, I noticed few such problems myself. People need to understand that Chem 33 is for people who have already taken AP Chem. If you are going to be foolish and take it with essentially no chem background, it is your own fault. As for the tangents, they were mostly at the beginning.

doll confused me so much during every class. i had no idea what was going on and couldn't see any correlation with the textbook reading. maybe he is a good prof for upper level chem courses, but definitely not for chem33. not only will i never take another class w doll because of this experience, i will also never take another chem class

All he manages to do in class every day is to confuse the hell out of the whole room. He rambles about information that has no relavance to an intro level chemistry course, and then clarifies that we don't really need to know anything he said.
