By far, the best and most knowledgeable professor i've ever had the opportunity to learn under. Extremely passionate about what he's doing here and has a personality no one could hate. Took International Finance, Macro Theory, and Futures Options and Swaps with him. Wouldn't have changed my mind for the world.

Professor Melick isn't easy, but there isn't anyone in the department I would prefer. I have learned more from him in a semester than I have learned from more professors in my entire career at Kenyon.

Melick is hard, but you will learn a lot. So far he's been my favorite professor at Kenyon. He's brilliant and very helpful in office hours if you have any questions. If I had known him when I declared I would have made him my advisor.

Honestly one of the best professors at Kenyon. Not as difficult as everyone says. Really funny and incredibly hepful in office hours. Makes you actually want to go to your 8:10. Also one of the few professors in the econ department that knows about financial markets. Must take a class with him if you are an econ major.

I would highly recommend taking a class with Professor Melick. He makes the lectures interesting, and he is incredibly helpful in office hours. He explains things very clearly. I'm not a huge fan of macroeconomics, but I still loved his class, even at 8:10 AM.

He is a great guy. He gets to know everyone in the class, or at least their names. He is a very good professor and teaches with great enthusiasm. His tests are pretty difficult and he curves them a ton.

Great teacher, very helpful, but not in a spoon feeding kind of way. He makes you do your share of the learning. Lectures are sometimes very entertaining and fun. He knows the material very well.

One of the smartest professors on campus. Tests are graded on a curve, and the average is usually around a B, but he helps you out with easy homeworks. His office hours are worth going to if you have a question. Don't expect an A in the class unless you can do better than the vast majority of students.

Easily the smartest man on campus and one of the best teachers. Gets frustrated if people are late or don't do reading/homework. Hilarious when he starts to rant about things. Go to his office hours for help, he appreciates the effort.

Great professor, brilliant and funny guy. Makes a normally dry subject bearable, and if you are genuinely interested in econ you will love it. If you are taking econ 101 take Melick or Treber, they are two of the best.

Excellent prof. Pretty flippin' brilliant, but questionable Halloween candy selection. Hoards all of the chocolate bars inside on the kitchen table. Also, don't come to his final exam an hour late because he told you it would be the length of two midterms...he's probably a liar pants.

Melick rocks! I hated the subject but he's an absolutely brilliant man with a clear teaching style and great sense of humor. Good times, from arguing with him about sweatshops to learning from his "beer and pizza" examples.
