Loved him! He was hillarious, and like others have said, if you take his night class at the IRVC, you rarely have class. 4 papers make up your grade; and grading is based on improvement. Really funny guy, and very helpful. Take advantage of the office appointments!

Non-traditional teaching style but very helpful. The point of this class is progress in writing and thinking skills. The later assignments are weighted much more heavily than the earlier ones. His office hours are very helpful.

Quite possibly the easiest writing class I have taken ever in college. For Advanced College Writing, he was easy and very very helpful and encouraging. If you don't pass that means you didn't go to class

Clear, very helpful, no reason you can't get a good grade. Lectures are direct, and to the point. Learned more in his class then in many others. Finally, a teacher who is not a feminist or mysoginst, complete professional. Bad writers with little effort will not like him, he makes you improve.

love this guy...you only go to class like 6 times if you take the night class at el toro...if you are taking a full load this is a good one to take because it doesn't require much effort...just 4 papers...write decent and get a B...wish i still had classes like this one...

Great class. It's not hard, but anyone who says it was too easy didn't listen to what he wanted on the assignments, they probably did mediocre work. If you listen to instructions, your writing will improve. Loved it!

Only about 5 class meetings and 4 short papers (3-4 pages). I thought the class was really easy but it didn't offer me much in terms of improving my writing. Of course, if you're an English major you'll have plenty of opportunity to improve!!

I took Prof. Jan Rainbird. easy, but fair, and generally a pretty cool class actually met (only about 7 out of the 15weeks). He's part-time so his name may not be listed (may say staff or something).

This class appears easy, but he emphasizes critical thinking and questioning foundational statements. Take nothing for granted! This makes his class different than others. Be prepared to actually think. You will walk away with more than you thought.

Very nice and helpful, but I think his class might be a bit too easy--I expected something more challenging from a class entitled "Advanced College Writing." Good class if you're already a master writer, but not if you need more practice writin

Really good professor....highly recomend! Very understanding....you are assigned to about 4 essays (turn em all in!) and you go to class like 4 times out of the semester! Easy grade if you put a little time into essays.

Very funny. He makes lot of racey comments. In the night class you only have to go half the times. Not much work but he is fair grader so you can't just coast by. Very cool.
