She gets to know every student by name. Fair marker. Reasonable tests, 50 multiple choice and 1 essay in 2hr. Short classes. Thoroughly explains the main concepts; group work in class helps reinforce understanding. She stays after class to answer questions and advise on term paper. If you don't read the textbook, you wont do well in her class.

Honestly she seems like a really sweet lady, but unfortunatly not a great prof. Lectures are long winded, and she often talks in circles, no powerpoint slides, and no clear sequence. Her handouts are not really helpful, just broad terms that we should know. There were questions on the exam that I am positive were not discussed in lecture or text.

Comment:
She rambles & gets off topic. Tests were solely based on the textbook, making class attendance useless. The questions on the tests were too specific, such as specific statistics and survey results. There were no power point slides, just a page of abbreviated and confusing notes. Assignment instructions were too vague and unclear. Hard marker.

Ppl used to PowerPoint lecturers may be frustrated, but she's a quality prof. Concepts are repeated so you get it; instructions = clear; assessment = fair & reflects text & lectures > attend! 2 tests [mlt choice + short answers]; essay. No 'rambling' - she relates material to clinical scenarios - stuff you should want to know. Group work warning.

The textbook was wayyy useful than the prof. Lectures are boring, dull, and unclear. She does not know how to teach, or rather what she teaches does not apply to her tests. In order to get high marks on essay test questions you have to provide the exact example in class to get mark. If you give another example even if it applies,it's wrong.

She is a very nice lady when you talk to her, however she is the most difficult prof I have had in 4 years, her lectures are extremely unclear and she makes very little effort to clear them up for you. If you want a class where there are basically no lectures and strictly textbook material and you can teach yourself everything, than take her class.

This is a psychology course. Anyone expecting an easy bird course will be disappointed. I found her to be the pinnacle of what every teacher should be like. She makes eye contact with EVERY SINGLE PERSON. She acknowledges you constantly. She knows EVERY ONE'S NAME after the second class. Brilliant, just brilliant!

She knows her stuff. She can sometimes go on and on but it's ok because it makes you undrestand more. However she turns you down when you ask her for help regarding the essay and her exams are not fair. She gave us 2 hours for 75 multiple choice + a 3-4 page essay question. nice person but not a really nice prof.

Pros: She likes the subject, she helps with the lab. Cons: Not much information from the lectures - the textbook is enough to get A on tests. Agree with previous graders - she takes too long to explain easy concepts.

I must agree that the lectures she gives are slowly paced but there are tons of example which help with application questions on tests. A hard marker, requires extra effort. The exams match the textbook and the complimentary website has practice tests which are very useful. She is a great but not bubbly person and loves what she teaches.

Prof. Heath is very knowledgeable and great professor. People with negative comments probably didn't attend classes or didn't bother reading the textbooks. I found her to be very helpful. Her repetition of material helped clarify concepts. Attend classes, take notes, read the textbook and your guaranteed a good grade.

She loves to ramble on and on in a monotone voice, remphasizing the same points. It is very easy to be distracted in this class. Some test questions do not reflect what was taught in class and she marks very hard on assignments. Toughest marker I encountered, quite unfair. She gives the impression of being sad most of the time.
