Comment:

A passionate teacher that has moulded a very well respected program over the last 14 years. Incredibly open and forthcoming with advice, but definitely expects her students to make the effort to come forward with questions. Once you do, the world is your oyster. Very knowledgeable, very fair, loves her students (when they're not making her crazy!)

after 2 years Janet is able to turn you completly off filmmaking. Doesnt realize that film school is a place where you learn from your mistakes. Will pop quizes and exams on you if she feels that you dont understand the material. sad to see she still teaches

Miss Hawkwood can be condesending or inspiring. Very hard to impress.Keep in mind her taste in films (experimental) and her work (heartfelt, yet boring). Confuses the difference between school and industry, and the complications of being a broke student.
