The quizzes and tests for each unit are doable but the lab and lab quizzes are HARD. You only get 15 minutes to do them and you cannot go back for any question. He didn't really ever reach out or email us except to remind of a due date. If you are naturally a science person, then you will do good but beware if not.

I took BIO110 as a online course. The tests were easy, but the lab quizzes were really hard. You could do good on the tests and quizzes, but when it came to the lab if you didn't do good on those it will mess your grade up. Mr. Sawyer never reached out to his online class, and was really bad about answering questions. It seemed like he didn't care.

Do NOT take this class if it's only one lecture per week. Sawyer himself said that made the class nearly impossible; only 1 person made an A on every test. Lab helps bring grades up and is easy. A LOT of lecture material. Keep on top of it or you will be hopelessly lost. Only made a B b/c he changed the grading scale b/c class average was so low.

HARD. I would study, study, study, but still do bad on the tests. I couldn't keep all the facts straight, especially as we moved into the more complex organ systems. He has a monotone voice and teaching style that just put me to sleep. I really thought I would enjoy this, but, not with this teacher.

Great guy. The class comes straight from his power point slides which are awsome. don't waste your money for the book. he very clear and very thorough. Awsome teacher and i look forward to having him again. you have to watch for lab section. the lab TA in there is a fat skank

Awesome! I learned sooo much. Take his practice tests, they are good exam review. His notes come straight from book and the exams come straight from notes. lab is fun too!

Great prof to go to w/ questions. Lectures can get boring if you aren't interested in actually learning the material. Lab can get hard if you do try. I'd personally recommend the class - interesting and you'll learn a lot!

Roger loves tissues. Can't get enough of tissues. Lectures are boring. It feels like u r in coma when u attend his lectures. I never went to his class and got an A. Lab is very tough because the same tissue type has thousand different looking slides which is hard to identify. 50% is lec. and 50%lab.
