Out of my 4 years at university she is definitely my favorite professor. I took theatre and performance (2CP3) with her, the content was very interesting and she really cares about her students well being by not overwhelming us with so much content at once and making the content very interesting. She is overall very caring and approachable

Unparalleled in her passion for cultural studies, theatre and film, and artistic expression, Dr. Hladki is cogent, open-minded, and exceptionally helpful. Along with everything I learned from her, her fervor and sense of discipline encouraged me to approach my subjects of interest with similar rigour. I'm thankful to have met her.

Janice Hladki takes the cake as the worst professor I've ever had. She is a hard-line leftist crusader, militantly so. The entire course was her pushing her personal beliefs on the class. You cannot pass her courses if you have differing views than her on gender, sexuality, religion, etc. Watch out, she's only "open minded" to some points of view.

I love her so much! The course material was very interesting. She made 3 hours lectures not only tolerable, but also enjoyable. She's very passionate about what she teaches and really knows her stuff. Just a great overall professor and person.

I absolutely adore this prof. I've had her for various courses and she always lectures in a way that helps your perfectly understand material. Her courses are always interesting and she challenges normative perspectives of various issues. Come to class and do the readings, you will do very well in her course. She is extremely nice and approachable.

I am really surprised by some of the negative comments on this beloved prof of mine. Janice challenges every individual in her class to examine the familiar and unfamiliar critically. I think many of her discussions go over ppls heads and as a result ppl dismiss them as useless or overly simple when in fact they are the ones missiing out.

Spectacularly easy: multiple choice/fill in the blanks tests. Easy A. However, anyone who seriously cares about contemporary art, theory, feminism, or history will be shocked at the low level of discourse. Does a huge disservice to the field. Historical perspective is nonexistent, art is didactic/bad, dumbs everything down to a mind-numbing level.

In my 4 years at Mac, she was by FAR my favourite professor. I have never felt so comfortable in a class. Actually looked forward to her FOUR hour classes. She made things fun, easy to understand and engaging. She was genuinely interested in our success. She is a rare treat!

While she may be very kind, her class was the biggest waste of time. She would talk about nothing, spouting out whatever jargon-filled garbage that would convince her students that she knew what she was talking about. Absolute bore and nothing to say, not able to answer question. I have never been more dissapointed in a class. DO NOT TAKE IT!

Janice has been one of my favourite profs for the past 2 years. She is so helpful, even with other classes that she does not teach. She is so approachable and fun to talk to. She is understanding and truly cares about her students. It was refreshing to see a prof show emotion on the last day of class. It showed she really cared. Janice Rocks!
