I agree with the comment below that his grading is subjective... pretty sure I lost points on a paper because I disagreed with him... on the other hand, he definitely knows his stuff - it's a good idea to pay attention when he talks. Plus he's great at calling kids on it when they start to BS. (Don't even try - if you don't know, don't talk.)

Very intelligent in the subject, but very bad teacher. Explains everything in muddled manner. Difficult to LEARN anything, which is the point, isn't it? Grades in a ridiculously difficult and subjective manner.
