I took a womens history in canada course. wow, too bias and leaves no room for other ideas. Glad she's out of the educational arena.

Great prof. Interesting and engaging lectures, and course material. EASY marker. If you apply yourself you'll be fine, as with any course. Workload is average, and comparable to any first year class. I would definatley take another class with her.

DO YOUR JOURNALS and if you happen not to understand them, then too bad for you. She is no help at all. She is fairly interesting and knows her material, especially in this class. Her exam questions are very specific, requiring you to do all of the readings.

I loved this class! She uses lots of contemporary clips from youtube as well as classic Studio D videos to show historical context. She dealt with a PITA student in a way that was creative and very fair to everyone without singling out the student. Answers emails very quickly, really helpful feedback on journals.

Generational gap. All the videos are from the 80's. Her arguments are relevant just not very complex. She does a disservice to feminism by ignoring the arguments of younger feminists. If she knew how to use a computer she would read feministing. You?ll only learn something if you know nothing about feminism.

Great person, great teacher, is VERY feminist driven, sometimes to a disadvantage of other views. Had her in other classes and found her hard but very organized. This semester she was unorganized and distracted. She doesn't accept excuses for late assingments or missed classes but had a million excuses why she couldn't get her marking done on time.

I failed the first quiz so i thought for sure she'd masacre me in this class - but she is the most fair prof i've ever had with her marking. She uses your student # as to not play favourites. If you dont do your readings you WILL fail. Some info was biased and not accurate.

Need to work your butt off in this class, but it is well worth it. She said that anyone who gets an A in the class should go to grad school, but don't worry, if you work hard you will get one (I did). Slackers will die in this class. She's a great teacher tho.

She is a bit intimidating at first, but is a really effective teacher. This course makes you think a lot about the world and question previous beliefs. I got an A in this class but I had to work my tail off for it. If you want to do well, work hard. You will learn so much!

Was a bit scared of her at first, but she's a lot nicer than the 1st impression. Very passionate about her subject and you can see the spark of joy when someone "gets it". Not an easy marker, but a fair one. Will offer as much help as she has to, as long as you ask for it. Looking forward taking more of her classes in the future.

This class should have been evaluated. This prof is so defensive! Don't ever challenge her or you will pay for it. She doesn't seem to like students or teaching.
