She is an ok professor. Not very clear with the content she is explaining and she can be hard to understand a lot of the time. She is however, a very nice lady. She also has exams now. 3 tests, 2 writing projects and a final exam. All tests are 10 to 15 questions. So each question is worth a lot of credit.

she is not a very effective teacher. ALL her things are right from the book or something she just printed off and when you ask her how or why tere's a certain answer she just evades the question and asks what you think. you realize she just has no idea. Doesn't require homework but gets angry and punishes you with hard tests if you dont do it.

Jeannie was a fabulous professor! I am not a math person, but she made calculus much easier to understand. Always willing to help and will go over problems over and over until students understand. Great professor. I highly recommend her.

Well for starters, I found that Jeannie was a big disappointment. She does care but not enough to go out of her way to help you when you go out of your way to seek help. Her class is do able, but you will not gain much from it. Take it or leave it.

Awesome. Old and unclear at times, but shes funny without trying to be. 13 quizzes, 1 per week, two lowest dropped FINAL OPTIONAL. Basically if you do the worksheets and memorize a weeks worth of lectures you will get a B. Also, each week the quiz is on something different so you really don't need to remember things from the previous week. TAKE HER

Exactly what the 3 previous comments said. Jeannie is the nicest teacher I have had so far. I always leave class with a smile bc she always does something hilarious. Really effective teacher; she teaches calculus by relating it to the real world which I love! Ever wonder why you need calc in life? Take Jeannie. Recommend her 100%

One of my favorite teachers at JMU. Class is pretty easy. Quizzes once a week that are straight from homework worksheets (not graded). Drops two lowest quizzes, optional final. She is such a sweet lady and really wants everyone to understand the material. VERY helpful and cute!! Take her if you can.

Easiest math teacher. Quizzes are once a week and incredibly easy. If the material is too hard, go to the Math Center and they'll explain well. It's hard NOT to get an A. 13 Quizzes, drops lowest 2, and optional final. Easiest class I've taken yet. She's also one of the nicest teachers here, if you don't like her, there's something wrong with you.

She is the sweetest. Quizzes are straight off the homework sheets that she gives out. She goes through 1 topic per class. On odd days, class is still 50 mins even though its supposed to be 1:15. She postpones quizzes if the class does not seem to understand the materials. 13 quizzes, drops lowest two. Final is optional =)

This class should have been so easy and would have been if she had taught well. It seemed like we were continuously thrown into the material without instruction and were expected to know things that we were not taught.

should have been the easiest class ever. we learned about roman numerals and drew spirographs, but somehow most of us managed to have c's in her class. she is a really nice lady but often you are thrown into the material and when someone asks what you are learning in her class you don't even know what to say because it is generally unclear.

A really nice lady who trys hard, but she has trouble with clarity when teaching hard subjects. Test and quizes were harder than they should have been but she lets you drop your 2 lowest grades, and webwork homework grades help to bring up your grade.
