Comment:

Dr. Forrest is a great guy. His lectures are very boring but the tests are curved. Homework and attendence is only a small portion. The class is hevily based on tests that require studying but are not that bad at all. Overall, great class and would reccomend!

Comment:

Dr. Forrest is one of the best professors that Slippery Rock has to offer. He understands that his class is challenging and curves the tests. He teaches the class so all his students are able to understand the material. He makes the class enjoyable and is hilarious.

Comment:

Attendance is taken every class, but its not a large portion of your final grade. The 3 exams you will take are worth 80% of your final grade, so do well on those or you are basically screwed. Even if you don't do as well, he curves the test pretty heavily. Make sure you use Excel for the homework bc it will save you so much time

Dr. Forrest will take time to help you if you need it, but you should ask questions too. Tests can be difficult, but he typically curves. Knowing Excel is very useful for the homework. He is patient and funny, and it's easy to see that he really respects his students. If you take enough initiative, then you can succeed in his class.

Comment:

Fall 2016 for business stats. Lectures were terribly boring but he was funny in his own way. Most of my fellow business students recognize and remember his signature laugh, which he employs often, whether the joke he just told was funny or not. Assignments and exams vary greatly in difficulty but the entire class as a whole is curved.

Really only recommend this class if you have a good concept of statistics. He just shows us the formula and then shows us how to do it in excel. But we don't use excel for the tests so it's hard to know how to do them. Reads directly off the slide and skips through a lot of stuff. Unnecessarily long homework but does curve exams.

For business stats at least, he was a very fair grader. Always curves the exams, so I was able to get an A on all. The course is challenging, but he makes it easier. Sometimes can be hard to follow, but very approachable and nice.

Business Stats is hard, doesn't matter who you have it with. I think Dr. Forrest is a very nice and funny guy, he curved the test too which wasn't too bad. You will need to put a lo of your own efforts in if you want a B or higher

Jefferey is a very good professor, he curves all exams, but homework is very difficult and is only 7% of the final grade. He often drifts off into random conversation, and always reads directly off of the slides.

If you show up, do homework and put any type of effort into the class you will get an A. Not a blowoff class, but still not too hard once you sit down and spend time with the material. He curves all test grades and then the whole grade at the end of the semester. Look over slides and homework before tests and you'll do fine.

Not a bad professor, he will explain somethings in class that help but most of it is on the homework and will walk you through everything. Tests are not bad, use him as a back up when registering.

I would not recommend Dr. Forrest to anyone. He tells unrelated stories for the majority of class then jams the information you need down your throat in the last 15 minutes. The homework is hours long but is only 7% of your grade. Also go over your test after he grades it, I got 14% more than he originally gave me on my first exam.

Forrest is not a bad Professor at all. He asks if anyone needs help every class period. His exams are not bad either as long as you study and pay attention in class.

There are no others words to say besides terrible. He reads off powerpoints, assigns homework that takes hours to do that even he couldn't figure out after working on one problem for forty minutes in class, and spends one hour talking about nonsense and the last fifteen minutes cramming in formulas. Tests are nothing like the homework either.

He is hard to understand but he I very good at explaining everything and he tells you exactly what's going to be on the test. His test only have 8 questions but it's not hard at all. I would take him again over other teachers I have taken here. Not sure why everyone hates him. He's a good teacher if you are willing to pay attention and do the homework.

As a future teacher, this class was frustrating because his style of teaching is not really teaching. Students must take the initiative to learn the material on their own. One of the most difficult teachers on this campus.. TUTOR IS MANDATORY!!

On many occasions in this class I found myself very confused. His style of teaching is not very good, but if you ask him questions, be sure not to expect a clear answer. Only take if you are a math genius, I almost had a perfect on my Praxis Math and I did not have a good time in his class, TUTOR IS A MUST!!

He is not as bad as people say. It's not Dr. Forrest that makes the material difficult, it's just the course in general. Anytime I raise my hand when I'm confused he helps me. He tells us what kind of questions will be on the test. His accent is not hard to understand and he's really funny.
