I was disappointed to see so many negative reviews of Dr. Cain. I decided to provide my own feedback as I felt the other comments were not fair to her. I took her class many years ago but learned a lot in her class. She is very engaging and provides plenty of feedback and opportunities to do well.

Professor Cain is very very out there. She does not give her students any ideas on what is due in class. She will assign a variety of different assignments she won't grade the majority of them then the grades she gives you never took them. Try to avoid her but she does provide comical relief you wont learn anything though.

Overall the most CONFUSING professor I have ever taken. She is a very nice lady but can not teach at all. She will go over the syllabus for a month and never answers questions. I took the class because I knew she wouldn't give hard assignments but if you actually like English and want a challenge,or do not want to waste money, DO NOT take her

Easiest grade I've ever received in college so far. She's probably the most confusing teacher on this planet but she's really easy she lets you make up your papers and assignments if you missed them and she often goes on little rants which are hilarious. If you want the easiest english credits take her for sure. Oh and she cancels class ALOT

My experience with her has been a nightmare. She never knows what's going on and is unclear with all assignments. Don't even try to ask her a question because she will either be rude, or give you a strange answer that has nothing to do with what you wanted to know. Don't take this class.

VERY easy class! she rambles a lot and you don't learn anything. She isn't very clear with directions for papers but she will let you redo papers as many times as it takes to get 100%. she's a very easy grader and she's really funny when she goes off on her tangents. It's tempting to skip her class, but she gives xtra cred for friday attendance!

Literally, take anyone else. You never know what is going on in the class. There is never a yes/no answer to the most basic questions. I spent the class hoping whatever I did for the assignment was close to what she wanted, because she does not clarify or help you out. She does let you pretty much redo everything though.

She is the definition of crazy. If you do the assignments and read the stories you will be fine. She lets you revise your papers all semester there are quizzes everyday. Didn't ever answer questions during class time. All that said I passed the class. Had a bunch of paragraph papers and only 3 essay papers on the readings. If you need a teacher that is organized don't take her.

She was fine last semester when i had her, but now she is late to every class by at least 15 min. The marks on my papers don't make any sense. She often tells us how she doesn't sleep any more. Extremely condescending to her students. She doesn't answer questions in class because she has "office hours", but won't except any appointments.

highly recommend her. every single paper you write you will get markings all over it and most likely get an F on it but you have the chance to re wright every single paper until its an A so its pretty hard to even get a B in her class. Funniest teacher on campus by far and will ramble on about the stupidest things. MUST TAKE HER!!!

Very confusing Professor, not helpful when correcting writing assignments. Often goes off topic and will ignore comments made by students when asking for help. If she doesn't like your writing, you pretty much get the short end of the stick.
