Comment:
He provides good notes, but they're only available after class. It would be more convenient to have them beforehand and annotate them during class, but he has decided it's better for you to have them afterwards. Exams are very detail-oriented, but relatively easy, so memorize statistics. Uses a lot of current events to increase interest.

He is a nice teacher and knows his stuff. However, for a lab writeup that we had to do, he gave us practically no guidelines for what he expected from it, yet it was worth 20% of our grade and had to be 20 pages long. Also, I am registered with disability services, and at first he seemed very unwilling to make accommodations. He came around though.

Had him for half of Bio 121, ended up being taught ecology. That being said, his exam was the most straight forward I have ever written. He tests straight from his notes which he posts online. Read the assigned articles and you will have no problem getting a very good mark.

Did not like him as a teacher, he said that he encouraged students to ask questions but when they did he was rude or made fools of them. Very poor attitude for a teacher and his exam questions were difficult to understand, would not allow students to access his notes until the class was over. Would not take another class with him

The class is pretty decent, don't buy the text it is a huge expensive waste of money. He posts his notes on the biology website the day after class. I think he must focus on water ecology because it kept on sneaking into our lecture all of the time.

Great prof. Gives clear, easy to understand lecture notes which he will post for you online. I never once had to read the text (waste of money). Exams were fair and not overly difficult; just study his lecture notes and attend the lectures as he will add little bits of info. which shows up on exams.

Very good professor, Great change from having to listen to Dr. Lemkhul who will make no sense. Dr. Hudson is very straight forward. The slides progress in a natural manner and build on knowledge you gain from previous chapters. Wants to help students do well and office hours are very flexible

Awesome Prof. His notes were very good and if you read them over there is no reason you should have trouble on his section of the final. He uses alot of examples from the text so it is easy to review the concepts that he presents!

Not as good as Wilson or Chilton but he only teaches a very small part of the class. Ecology is only taught for the last month or so. Read the text and all his notes.

Hudson is one of those guys that actually likes what he does. He loves ecology with a passion! Hes really boring though, but if you actually listen to him the class becomes real easy. Hes real layed back and his exam questions are straight out of his notes. Which are on the computer too!

We need more profs like Hudson. Definitely attend class and listen, and you won't have to learn everything just before the final. Attendance is essential to get that "A" on his section.

BORING! This guy puts you to sleep. Don't go to his class, b/c he just reads you the notes that you can print off the net anyway. MONOTONE VOICE...Attendence in this class dropped by about 1/2 when he started his portion of the teaching. wonder why...
