Great Professor. Looks like a mean dude but once you get to know him he is a great guy. He answers all of your questions and encourages you to practice the material in class and outside of class. It is too bad because I think he is retiring... Would definitely take him again if the opportunity comes up.

Papers that were assigned were short and often fun to write, the lecture is very long-winded but also slow-paced, so you have plenty of time to take in-depth notes, he makes the material sound interesting, and always keeps students up-to-date on real life examples of material being studied in class.

Professor Kilgore is highly knowledgeable about anything he teaches. All of the class content is straightforward and clear. Most exams are open reference (just like the real world) and pretty much, you will know what you're doing in there. He is super helpful with any issues you have. Take this instructor for anything he teaches.

This is a wonderful class. Considering it's graduate level, the pace of the course itself is rather lax. Just make sure you keep up with ALL virtual labs you do , and give it all you got on your exams. As long as you put forth an honest effort, it's near impossible to fail the class. He's as helpful as he has always been in NET classes.

Awesome class! Tests are difficult but you can use the internet, books, and notes during them. Hands on more than lecture. Professor K is cool, I definitely recommend taking this professor for any class he teaches.

Just like any other class with Prof Kilgore, it is more hands on than a set lecture. It is a good thing if you like learning about Server material at your own pace. He grades really easily and allowed us to use a multitude of "tools" on our exams. You will need lots of time, however, to finish the major labs he assigns. He's great!

Took about half of my Senior-level classes with Professor Kilgore. He is very knowledgeable and is dedicated to making sure you learn. Tests are often open book and easy, but he injects enough interest into the class so that you are more likely to enjoy it.

EASY CLASS!!!! Everything he teaches in the class about Security concepts is more or less straightforward as well as your assignments. I learned so much from this professor. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, BEST Advisor also and teacher ever!!

Professor Kilgore is AWESOME!! The class itself is a RIOT!! If you ask me, all it is really is an open discussion more than a lecture but the assignments are CAKE. If you can, since tests are open whatever except internet and and another human, Have this fellow!!! However you are not guaranteed an early dismissal

If you haven't taken Kilgore, you need to. You can't fail his class. If you do bad on a test, he'll give it back to you to fix. I felt like we didn't really learn much in the class. Our assignments were very easy and I guess since everyone pretty much knew what they were doing, the class flew by. You'll always ALWAYS get out early.

Very easy teacher. A nice guy. Easy on grades, you have to try your hardest to even get a C in the class. I don't think its possible to fail, because he won't let you. He explains stuff well and even though he has bad jokes, hes still a funny guy. Take him if at all possible.
