I would never take another class with her again. She stated my grammar was poor and that was the reason for her failing me in most of my papers. I had a master degree English major correct my paper before I submitted it, i got a D. Her own instructions were riddled with misspellings

i think her class was pretty easy. follow the outline and you'll get an a on your speech, simple as that. i never saw her playing favorites in class, and she didn't fail half of my class either. i didn't do that great on tests but i got A's on the speeches and got a B in the class.

She tends to go off topic a lot and I think I learned a lot more from her pointless rants than about the topic itself. She means well though and will try to do anything in her power to pass you in her class. Even if that means giving more tests, which actually does help in the long run.

I have never seen a grown woman play favorites so much in my life! Stay on her good side or get ready to fail. Especially stay out of class political disucssions unless you are an ultra liberal leftie! She is one of those profs who takes pride in failing half the class. Total *****!

She's a nice lady, who gets a little off topic a lot of the time. I suggest you get on her good side though chances are it will help your grade out. The tests were hard but the class wasnt bad in its self. Just pray to god you dont have some idiot that likes to tell their life stories in your class becasue she loves to hear a pointless story.

Very nice and very easy. She sometimes gives you extra time for the speeches and they can be done easily with the software that comes with the book. They also prepare you for the tests. Very easy class. Be there though. That could be the difference between an A and a C. Very good prof. though.

This woman was very nice! I thought her class was very easy as well. Most of the assignments you could easily complete by using the software disc provided in the text. To study for her tests, just read over the chapters as told. She even lets you out early if nothing major is being done. Plus, many classes are cancelled becasue of her schedule.

She does not have favorites. I went to that class trashed all the time, and she knew it. She used to laugh at me for it. I got 68's on my tests, did half-assed attempts on my speeches and still got all a's on my them, and still got an A for the course. Best teacher i have ever had.

She does have favorites! If you're not one of them, well..you'll have to take the course again or settle with a C-. In order to be one of her favorites you must be Mr or Ms. Perfect and NOT have one independent thought...since that narrows it down to one or two of you; you won't get anything higher than a B-. Take it w/ another prof!

She bases her grading on whether or not she likes you opposed to basing it on intelligence and understanding of the course. If she doesn't like you, her grading becomes illogical and unfair, and even though you may be smarter than the entire class, that will not matter when it comes time to give a final grade.

Personally, I thought her class was very easy. 1 minor self-intro speech, 3 major ones, and 2 tests. If you put effort into your speeches, you should have no problem with them. Her tests are easy if you take a few hours to read over the materials. Work hard and you'll have no problem passing her class.

Henke is great, she is tough in business in and professional comm, but that class is suppose to be hard. I would take her for any class she offers. As for political views, everyone is has an opinion, and its not like you have to support her views to get an A in the class.
