Jim Boden is one of the finest teachers I have ever had. Of all the people I have learned from he is definitely the most influential. His success is comes from his love of Art, it is his religion. That being, in order to absorb this knowledge you have to work for it which isn't an issue if your a hard worker. If your not, RUN. You. will. Fail.

If u r a GD major then u mite as well sign up for another semester, do something completely different for senior studio, switch majors, or drop out. No one in the 4 years Ive been here has passed trying to do graphic work since he thinks GD is something u can just do off the top of ur head & has no thought to it. 20+ logos in 1 week, really!?

Took many classes from Jim Boden, Drawing I & II, Crit Theory, & Photo. Although he is knowledgeable I beg of you, especially females in the dept. Tred Lightly & Carefully. You can survive this experience & grow from it, but Carefully. He is with a recently graduated student now. DO NOT be afraid to voice your opinion.

I have had Jim for a number of classes. He is a wonderful teacher and he possess a lot of knowledge. He demands a lot in the classroom and studios, but even at this you will not survive unless you kiss his a** and become a groupie. As intelligent as he is, he is very closed-minded to anything other than his idea of art.
