If you want a song and dance and coddling you wont get it. But if you genuinely want to learn some cool stuff and think about scientific principles, he's your guy. He can be intimidating to approach at first, but he really is nice, and he cares about his students. Just don't expect to ride through his courses, you actually have to put in the work.

I strongly recommend avoiding his classes. He is excrutiatingly boring and his labs and exams are brutal. Course content itself is dry; definitely not the fantastic course "infectious diseases" could have been.

Diplomat by day, cricket by night. But what if there's an eclipse? This guy's a big fish in a small pond. He can't deal with the unexpected, as he is formulaic in his responses to the world. And he tells bad-father jokes. But he is a good lecture
