Dr. Lloyd is awesome. There are weekly readings + 1 pg summaries and he expects discussion and feedback like a seminar class. His lectures are entertaining and he is very passionate about history.

BEST HISTORY TEACHER EVER....EVER....He s very enthusiastic about what he teaches and only teaches the interesting stuff. There is reading assignments but he goes over the reading in depth so you could probably pass by just coming to class No hmework or tests just two ssays which he basically wrote for us. Awesome class. He is a sweetheart :)

Lloyd is the most enjoyable professor I have had by far. Everyone has been telling me to take his class last year and so I did. I am very glad with my decision. I love the way he teaches and when he talks you totally get what he means!!! I will definitely be taking more classes with him. We definitely need more professors like him.

What an excellent professor! I had hear about him but this was my first experience in his class. I wish I could take him for all of my history classes because he makes me get it!! Very clear in his interpretation of the constitution and legal history.

Good Teacher! He is not hard, if one does the work of course. Still, it was hard to really get a handle on the material, and by no means is it his fault. The material is so broad, it needs to be more focused on certain topics,instead of trying to cram a wide variety of examples in 1 quarter.

I enjoyed his class. You will have to work and read, but this is a college class. I enjoyed him and have taken him for several classes. He will teach so you learn. There are times when he likes to hear himself talk, but it is an interesting class. I would tell others to take it.

Ignore the first rating by the first person they are wrong. This guy is awsome. He was EXTREMELY helpful and more then made himself avaialble for asking questions. He taught the class well and now I feel like I have at least the basic research skills under my belt because of him.Lloyd is very patient and what I like most is hes honest when grading.

Prof. Lloyd was a great instructor. You could tell he knew what he was talking about and that he cared about your perspective on it. The tests were mostly essays if i remember correctly. It's a very interesting class but you have to particpate and be prepared... aka read the book. I'd take him again without a doubt.

HE IS AWESOME! He really cares about his students as well as the material. He knows what he is talking about. There is a lot of reading, but he explains it really well. He tells you the truth about history and the text was actually not that boring. I really recommend taking Dr.Lloyd, he is there to help you even after you pass his class.

THIS is what every American History class needs to be like! It almost makes you want to become some kind of revolutionary. There's quite a bit of reading, not much of which is very interesting, but it's pretty easy to get through, and you'd have to be somekinda idiot to not pass this class because Lloyd is pretty thorough with his lecturing
