Professor McAdam is a fantastic teacher! We had so much fun learning about math and how to teach it and it was my 8:00 am class. He will help you with whatever you need and has great manipulatives to help children with their math skills.

Comment:

McAdam is a great professor and I learned so much from him about teaching elementary math. He gives a lot of work and beware of the book project. GO TO EVERY CLASS- even if you are sick. Start assignments early and you should be fine. Class is fun!

This guy will give you work until your on the verge of exhaustion. Kind of stinks no one else teaches this course but you will learn alot from him regardless. Overall, there was just way too many assignments but I guess that's college.

Basically a good guy. Puts you down if you don't have the "right answer" or if the answer is not something he would say. Grades papers very weird. Lots of typed papers in 10 font. Calls on you in class every two seconds if he feels you don't understand and it can get embarrassing.

this class was great.i didnt really like math too much, but after this i think teaching math will be one of my favorite things next year! he was always really helpful and i could talk to him about anything when i needed it.definitely a lot of papers (one every 2 weeks in the beginning)but you learn a lot and the projects are fun too.

First of all, he doesnt care about students in the least, he thinks he knows everything, and tells you how to teach well but doesnt teach that way himself. Class is so boring and so repetative. Avoid him if possible, he treats students poorly

Dr. McAdam is a wonderful teacher. Teaches by example. Very kind person. One of the few professors at Marist I feel I could talk to if I needed to turn to someone....He is the type of teacher I hope to be someday. Marist is LUCKY to have him and I am BLESSED to have him as my teacher....
