Honestly after i read everything on here i was petrified to take him, but he really is a nice guy. His exams are really easy and make sure you go to his class reviews for the final because it helps alot. Hes really annoying when you walk in late but he always let us out like 15minutes early. if your willing to study and go to class, take him!!

Professor Parks is a nice guy if you go to his office hours. His 1st and 2nd exams were easier then any of the other Pre-Calc Professor's exams that my friends showed me but they don't prepare you for the final. Do the exam reviews and the homework! It's a big help. I got a B+ but I did have to work for it.

just go to lecture and do practice problems and you'll be fine. his exams are easy, but they don't prepare you for the final...so study hard for that. the homework isn't mandatory, but do it. it helps a lot. i got a B+ in his class and it wasn't really that hard to get.

Basically he arrives forty minute late to class so don even worri bout looking like a moron cumn into class late but if he is there and you are late he will make you look like a fool. i nvr went to his lectures, the TA was better and i taught maself..he makes precalc harder than it is and i feared even asking him a question, will make u feel stupid

Professor Parks summed up in one word: horrible. Unprofessional, unapproachable, and extremely rude to students. Will try to make you feel stupid for asking a question, and exams are much harder than the homework. Also, there are NO practice exams. Basically, my ta helped me out. If you know math, you might be ok. If not..Parks is NOT good.

This teacher is horrible. Other than the fact that most people failed the first exam which was suppose to be the easiest, he's rude, arrogant, and not helpful at all. Unless you know Calculus already, you aren't going to learn much from this guy.

all i have to say is.... the average on the first exam was a 36... because of john parks, i am now a junior who is behind on credits. If you leave early or come in 30 seconds late, he will call you out in front of 115 failing students... have fun frosh... or failing sophomores or juniors =D

This part-timer is the most horrendous teacher you'll come accross. I say teacher because I feel the term "professor" should be saved for instructors who can teach. He can't talk clearly or loudly, and even if he did, he makes too many mistakes. Avoid this class at all costs. It'll make you disillusioned to professors who are actually worth a damn.

Ughh, what can I say about this man that hasn't been said already. He has good intentions, but they are often masked by his crude demeanor and absentmindedness. He is often unclear but if you ask him a question he will answer it, only after making you feel dumb for asking it. Study hard for his exams and you'll do fine.

He has a good sense of humor. Is open to helping. The tests are easier than the practice tests online. All in all it was a pretty easy class. Online komework as well as written homework, weekly quizes, and 3 exams. Seems like a lot of work but it really isn't.

Homeless indeed he dresses like he found his clothes at the bottom of a septic tank. Also Likes to spend the first ten minutes of class listining to his Ipod. If Kenny Rodgers had a brother this man would be it. Ohh and he cant teach and doesnt help you.
