Best teacher I've had at UW. Always avail. for extra help, and gives great lectures. He's really funny too, which makes class fun. Makes you work really hard (too hard sometimes?). You must be REALLY devoted to his class to do well.

It's been 13 years, but I still remember Wainwright for his energy and enthusiasm about calculus. He had all the characteristics of a great teacher - clear, articulate and challenging. More than that, I found him inspiring and that's why I remember him.
