Most brilliant professor I've ever had. Kind person, truly cares about students and is thoroughly knowledgeable about not only pols but social sciences and arts in general. Phenomenal lecturer, all off the top of his head, very engaging and includes personal experience. Much more of a real and understanding person than one would expect.

John Young is one of the best prof's I have had during my stay at UNBC. The respect he earns from students is apparent, and the ease and charisma in his teaching is beneficial. I learned alot from the many courses I have taken from him, and I would highly recommend John to anyone considering poli-sci at UNBC.
