Jon Kerr is a great professor, he really knows what he is talking about which shows in his teaching style. He cares for his students and wants them to do well which is why hes always clear and provides whatever guidance needed to ensure you can do well! This is my second course with him and its great! He is funny too and makes boring topics fun :)

Cases are this course is all about. Professor Kerr would prepare your case analyzing skill every class. Even if you knew nothing before taking his class, you should be able to write the final without consulting your cheat sheet or memorizing the framework--he would walk you through it so many times you just'd just know it by heart.

Finally, a class at York where I'm not bored to tears! His lectures are very interesting and applicable to real life. The way he goes about analyzing a case at the end of each class helps for the project and final exam. The midterm is straight from the textbook but tricky. You have to participate a lot to get a good mark. He always answers emails.

Fantastic prof. safe to say one of the best iv had so far. really nice guy. very understanding and flexible, very smart. this guy knows what he is doing. would recommend him 100%. However, beware of a major group project. you better pic a good group to get a good grade. also you have to participate and is the quality of participation not quantity!

Prof does a good job in explaining the material. Class is interesting. But please read the text if u need to get an A. Midterm is tough and reading the text will help u to overcome it. Also since participation is 20% please attend the class and answer his questions or make comments. Active participation matters.

Great prof who really knows his stuff. He isn't talking BS, his lectures are worth their weight in gold if you're interested in management. He is however, a very hard marker and it's imperative you participate a lot in class, he'll remember that when grading you!

Jon Kerr is one of the best professors I have ever had during my 4 year experience at York. VERY knowledgeable about the subject and brings interesting real life experiences and example into the classroom. You won't need the textbook for this course - he chooses 3 cases from your 4900 casebook, which you can easily photocopy. Amazing prof.

This is my last semester at york and I can say he is the BEST teacher ever. although he lectures the whole 3 hours but you'll never get bored. i took both ADMS4900 and 4910 with him and all i can say is that he is great!

This guy's pretty awesome! He has reasonable expectations from his students and outlines them clearly, knows the material inside out and yet offers new perspectives. Kerr also has a great sense of humour. I learned a lot from his lectures and I would definitely recommend him over anyone else teaching the course. Be sure to speak up in class.
