Great guy. He gives us good detailed of Jazz origins. He claims that blacks were knocked upside the head and thrown forcefully in boats that can barely fit for three months. The search for "the note" in between the key was how the pentatonic scale was found. After that they all sang in Congo Square. Thats all you need to know about Jazz. I got an A

(fall 03')yes, very passionate. Too bad I only started to enjoy the class halfway done with the semester. If I could have, I'd try a little harder to see his point of view. Big Band concert rocked, a little too long, but I still liked it.
