Comment:

American lit was the best english class I have ever taken. Adamson made his morning classes a lot of fun, and he made the material we read interesting and opened our eyes to so many different possibilities in each text. His class was hard work but well worth it. I will definitely be taking more classes of Adamson's.

Didn't know how to use a powerpoint or computer to help organize his lectures. He spoke all over the place. Made references that no one understood. The readings were so boring and dated. Assignment topics were dull and tedious.

Dr. Adamson was an amazing prof. He made our morning classes interesting and fun. He focuses heavily on themes and literary devices in each text. The texts were a lot of fun to read. His essays challenge you to use critical thinking, but he is always willing to help. I would highly recommend his class, it's the best English class I have taken.

The course was labelled wrong, so we didn't know what we were getting into; He's very friendly, but incredibly monotone so his class is VERY hard to follow/take notes in and the material is boring. If I wasn't graduating, I wouldn't have taken the course, but I do think he'd be great teaching an upper year seminar!

The greatest English professor at McMaster University. In six years of education, he was one of the top two. Very easygoing, extremely intelligent, and not too full of himself(as is too often the case with profs) to go out for a drink with students after the course. Truly inspirational course!

After going from Browning in the first Comp Lit, Adamson was a nightmare. He was amongst the most boring English professors I have ever had (and I've had quite a few). Nothing changed in his lectures, not even the tone of his voice. Very tough to make it through a single class never mind the whole semester.
