I got a A ,but only because i just answered every question from a extreme Liberation view, which he spends the entire time in class preaching about, is easy if you do that but otherwise is a giant waste of time for a class and a teacher

Do Not take this Professor. I got an A in the class, but I had to completely teach myself by reading the book. Each class he turns on the title page of a powerpoint and then rambles on about politics without ever changing the slide. He will not help you. He is stuck in his ways and should have retired long ago.

He was a very hard professor. A lot of the test had questions that we have never covered in class and were very opinionated. Research paper was tough to write he makes you relate a speaker to sociology. Most lectures were pointless. I will never take him as a professor again and I recommend that you avoid him too. Grades on a curve though. So study

Worst teacher ever, dont bother coming to class you wont pass anyway. He talks about stuff going on in america all hour every hour and then gives you exams on the stuff he was suppose to teach you...and when he does get around to teaching something you have no idea what he is talking about. Plus he shows up 15 minutes late every single day

I have never experienced a professor like this. Here I am, struggling all semester, going to class regularly but still not understanding the material and he sends the class an incredibly rude e-mail because he sucks at his job and won't admit it. Horrible professor. Avoid him at all costs, I'm not kidding.

This professor is unbelievable. Absolutely the WORST you could take. Avoid at all costs. He only rambles all hour about what he wants to talk about, but none of it is relevant to what will even be on the exam. A couple of them are take homes, but you won't even understand his questions. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

Excellent professor. Not an extreme leftist like most other instructors at this university. Tells thing like they are. He talks a lot about the Soviet Union which I guess is kind of cool. Curves quizzes and tests plus he drops your lowest one. Very important to show up every class!

Do Not take him. he is the worst teacher i have ever had. I didnt learn one thing, honestly. If you go to every single class your grade will get raised a whole letter grade. Test are hard, but he curves the grades so that helps. Just avoid taking him!! You will be miserable.

If you can, avoid taking this teacher at all costs. All he does is ramble about things he wants to talk about, and his tests and quizzes are all basically over his opinions. He gives lots of chances for extra credit, but those are impossible. Find another teacher to take this class with. It's way too difficult for a 100 level class.

Don't expect to learn anything in this class or do well on the exams. He rambles on and on thru then entire semester about nothing. Studying is almost useless because the exams are impossible to get better than a 60%. He grades on a curve though which brings up your grade a lot.

He wasn't a terrible person, but his teaching quality was awful. The occasional (not funny) joke was a break from the rambling, but even those are a bit unclear. The material is presented via powerpoint in a terrible manner, and the exams are NOT over the book chapters or the powerpoints. Very disorganized, very poor quality, very frustrating.

I'm pretty sure I didn't learn barely anything in this class. I read the chapters and still didnt get the material because Debolt talks to quiet and rambles on about too many subjects. He offers good extra credit oppurtunities, but they are impossible to get credit for. He grades on a curve, which is nice, but the tests are extremely hard!!
