If you like structure and taking notes like I do DO NOT take him. He just rambles on about everything. But he is a nice professor and sure knows his stuff. Just wished he would have shared some of what he know. He is big on prisons. He honestly cares about his students. Midterm is 60% of your grade and the final is 40%. Just BS your way through it.

He's crazy, but he knows it. His lectures were disjointed and rambling, and I honestly have no idea what the class was supposed to be about. He is a great guy though, and always willing to talk. You just won't be able to understand him. He's really easy though, and don't worry about due dates - he'll just push them back. I got an A

If you've never had him before, he comes across as sort of off-beat at first. But you'll come to find he is a very caring and helpful man. He is very sweet. It's def not your "just read the book and take notes class," but I would def take him again. He is my fav prof.

14 yrs later he is the only teacher I remember at the HaLL.Pres.Reagan should have listen to his ideas about making some drugs legal and building more prisons.He loved his dog,,,,Show up and enjoy the only teacher that made sense

He is by far the best teacher i have ever had. You'll have a good time in his class and learn stuff, which i thought was an impossible combo. He hates shu's administration just as much as us, and he actually cares about his students and relates class to life. had him for 5 classes.

The man is not doubt insane, however, he is definitely entertaining and if you participate he'll love you. BS's the whole class and it's hard to follow him, but if you BS on the midterm and final, you'll do fine. If you recommend a take home final, chances are you get it. Participation is the key.
