If you have never done c++ then avoid this professor. She goes by very quickly mostly relying on the fact that if you read the textbook then you should learn. I am new to computer science and things got hard quick and with no signs of slowing down. Try to get help outside of class. Lectures are also really hard to understand.

Worst class I have ever taken. Please please please avoid this teacher if you want to learn or care about your grade. She has no mercy for her students. Her tests were completely ridiculous and she would give tests on material we didnt cover yet. I have no idea why it says the avg grade is an A. I know for a fact over half the class did not pass

Avoid this professor! She expects you to read everything and learn everything right away. She screams at you when you don't get the answer correct. Her accent its what makes it harder to understand. Labs are always ahead of lectures. I got A's on all my Labs, but the tests are the ones that would screw you over. Good luck because you will need it..

She expects you to read, her lectures go off the assumption that you did the assigned reading and understood it. There is a large group project that is worth 20% of your grade. Hopefully you get in a good group, having a flake can make the experience frustrating, however, talking with the professor can help you resolve these issues too.

Took this class because i needed it for my major but right off the back if she gets lost she gets mad at you and when she lectures she confuses you she expects you to read and understand it all i am very interested in computer engineering and thought i would actually learn something but i havent If you have her goodluck youll need it

Interested in SQLprogramming; don't take this course! Actual SQL isn't discussed until the last 2 weeks and even then, the material is complex & rushed; more emphasis is placed on relational algebra then code. 90% of the class is doing flowcharts, which depending on what group of 2 possible assignments are very uneven in difficulty. Don't bother!

I'm enjoying the way Dr. Mendoza is being my adviser. She's super kind and friendly and take very good care of her student. She's one of the best advisers in CSUSB I believe.

This class was abysmal for me. While it is remotely possible that she knows her own stuff, she is terrible at teaching it, she was worse than useless, insulting the class constantly with degrading remarks of laziness and stupidity, and all the time declaring we werent doing the work, and question was harshly shut down with a degrading remark.

Worst professor I have ever had. Expects you to read the book and understand every concept perfectly. She lectures 2 weeks after the labs we did were due. Ask her questions and she tells us to look it up online, did not post exams scores till the final day of of school, horrible teacher, over emotional, and pathetic, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROFESSOR!

Hands down the worst teacher i have ever had. She teaches you how to do labs after you turn them in. She is unorganized and came into class late everyday and she constantly yells. She did not teach me anything at all. I learned everything by watching other professors lecture but that won't help you because on quizzes you have to write code her way.

Horrible professor. Lets her emotions get the best of her all of the time. One time she stormed out mid-class because one person did not do their homework, and she made another student go over the homework while she was throwing a fit in her office. Be prepared to be bombarded with pointless emails, and giving feedback on everything.

If you have interest in taking databases, do not take this class. You will not program untill week 9 and the entire rest of the quarter is spent doing the same diagrams over and over again. This is not helpful at all. She is not clear on what she wants and will make you lose interest fast when yelling at/insulting the class for mistakes.

Dr. Mendoza is very knowledgeable in her field. She however, is very emotional during class and this negatively effects her teaching. She often has angry outbursts and yells and insults the class. She is not very friendly. Setting her personality aside though she is smart and makes sure you understand most topics.

To call Dr Mendoza a teacher is a lie. She simply does not teach. It is expected that the students read the textbook until all topics are understood. She routinely got upset and angry when a question of clarification was asked, exclaiming that "You're not reading." The book was useless as it rambled and never provided any examples.Avoid this class.

Tremendous amount of workload!!! But you get what you put in! Overall great course to take if you don?t mind the endless nights of studying. What i enjoyed the most was that it required you to THINK!
