I took Dr. Pohl for my freshman Biology class, and bombed it. We never used the book, her notes were incomprehensible, and I found her very unhelpful; the only reason I managed to pass the class was because of the lab.

Pohl is a pretty good teacher...lectures are a little dry but so is the subject matter! Attendance is mandatory so if you have a hard time going she's not for you. She's very helpful during test time and always posts an old exam for you to study!! Overall i'd give her a 8 out of 10!

Very easy class if you take good notes and study from them, the book is not needed. I took her my first freshman semester and got and A just because the tests are verbatim from the notes. Not the easiest class to stay awake in but if you can you'll pass...

Do not buy the 100 $ book, you will not use it. She gives notes ALL class, EVERY class. But, the test come 100% off of notes and short study guides. All you must do is study the notes hard, and it is an "A" course. If you dont want to study, a lot, of notes...avoid her.
