Now works at Queens in Kingston. A very well designed course, with online sections and easy to get the full participation grade. However, do not be fooled; he will absolutely destroy you with his exams. Extremely detail specific, which is a complete contradiction to his desire to make his course conducive to the needs of exchange students. Odd man.

He definitely has favorites in class. I agree 110% and it's not based on how much you suck up to him or how hard you work, if you know what I mean. He teaches well, but he has a very antipathetic character and a little bit funny too. Does really nice presentations.

He has clear favorites in the class.I found his exams to be very pointless -he tests on memorization of ALL the readings instead of if you had actually understood the concepts.I also found him to be very rude-he won't even attempt to say your name if it's not a common one.Liked the class but not JP.

This is seriously, the ONLY COURSE I ATTENDED EVERY LECTURE FOR!!! He really makes it interesting if you like learning about other cultures. It's such an easy course if you really put the effort and make detailed notes on lectures/textbook. I got an A!
