Dr. Smith is great! He is available outside of class a lot and will help with anything you have trouble with. Labs are a bit difficult, he expects you to know how to use some equipment even if you've never seen it before. Very funny and the tests are difficult but if you study and pay attention you'll do fine. Final was easy.

Dr. Smith is a genius! He is extremely passionate about science. Our tests were all diagrams and essays. You have to really understand the material in order to do well. Memorizing will not help you in this class. Dr. Smith LOVES his students. I would definitely take him again.

You have to , HAVE TO, review the material he gives you, and ask questions if you do not understand. If you do not ask questions, you will be so lost there will be no hope. If you ask questions, he will explain as many times and ways as it takes to get you to understand. He talk too fast. But he loves biology and teaching.

Literally the worst professor you could take for a fundamental class in this subject area. He overcomplicates EVERYTHING and often says he is willing to help students, but when you go to him for help he gives you no real chance to improve your grade. Just useless "advice". If you are taking this class for honors credit - DON'T. TAKE NORMAL INSTEAD.

I work directly with Dr. Smith in his lab. --- He is incredibly difficult to understand early on, however, over the last few months I have learned more about the world of biology than for my last 3 years as a biology student. If you are enthusiastic about biology, I highly suggest talking to him about your interests or taking a course with him.

Excellent professor with a great sense of humour (appeal to this on tests if at all possible). Everything is on his powerpoints so don't even bother buying the book. I only used mine once as a source for a lab report. He keeps class interesting and is always willing to answer questions.

Likes to hear himself talk, and he is only helpful if you ask him to clarify stuff out of class. If you ask him questions in class, he will confuse you more. Gives you practice test/practicals/exams that are very similar and helpful on the real ones. :)
