Prior to this class, I hated social policy. She's definitely not your average teacher but that's the one thing you'll come to like about her. She's spunky and keeps you on your toes. Just make sure to do the assigned readings and enjoy the class - I am seriously considering a career in policy after taking SOWK 335.

Most amazing professor I've ever had. Don't be afraid of her at first, she will end up being your favorite. Always willing to go out of her way to help a student, and she's very passionate about macro social work. Just be prepared to work for your grade.

loved this class, awesome professor. i didn't know much about policy going in and learned so much. she's great and class is interesting. as long as you take notes in class, do the reading, study for exams, tests are fine.

Ford is an awesome teacher. She is a little scary at first, but don't let her fool you. She has a great heart and an amazing passion for social work and policy. I learned so much in Policy and would recommend her to anyone! Just do the work..

Hilarious, class was fun and you can tell she's enthusiastic about policy; she takes you on a field trip, assignments really make you learn about policy work, and she's not a difficult grader if you just follow all of the directions
