He is nice. He seems like he is bored with his life and doesnt want to be teaching. Seems stressed at time. But hes nice. The hw problems are whats on the test and its pretty fair. For labs he is no help however. Everyone always never knows what there doing for labs. He is a very very grader however. Overall id take him

Comment:

Rose is so boring; however, he is a great stat teacher. He goes over the hw in class so don't bother doing it, but it is helpful to study from. The tests are kind of hard, but if you study the hw problems you should get an A OR a B. overall I recommend the class.

Comment:

All math classes are hard, so of course this one was not easy. Rose is pretty much the same as all the other Towson math teachers except he gives exam reviews which are almost identical to his tests! Class consists of 3 exams and a final and you can drop the worst one. Homework is not collected either. Not a terribly hard A-B.

Rose is really nice. I took calc in high school so I didn't even have to do the hw. It's not necessary if you catch on quickly because his tests are exactly like the review he gives you. Also he really wants you to understand and class is spent doing practice problems which really helps.

After failing calc with another professor last year, it was like night and day with prof rose. He has very reasonable expectations for this class, and is so nice. The class itself is very challenging, but his study guides are extremely true to the test. keep up with the hw.. its very hard to catch up once you fall behind in calc

Rose can be boring at times but he teaches you the problems a lot better than the book does. He makes the class a lot easier and goes over the same problems he puts on tests. You could a lot worse them him in the math department.

I am not a math person, but scored an 82 and then a 94 on the first 2 tests. He is very repetitive on problems, but that way it forces you to learn the material which may be why a lot of people say he is boring. Compared to other stat teachers, I would recommend him!

I am not a math person at all. I am currently in this class right now and all i can say is wow! I cant believe how well im doing. This class is simple. I got an 86 on the first exam and a 91 on the second. He is a good teacher! I would take him if your looking for a good statistics class and math isnt one of your stronger courses.

The entire class consists of him putting problems on the board and not explaining how he got from point a to b. He doesn't teach. I taught myself everything that I learned in this class. I skipped class a lot, and when I did go, I didn't pay attention. He's boring and useless as a teacher. Tests are pretty easy. Don't take him!

The class overall is difficult. He is a nice guy, very laid back. But as for teaching, he doesn't exactly know how to express the material to students. Not bad but I would probably recommend taking someone else, especially if you've never taken a Calculus course before.

I can't believe he still teaches at Towson University and is in the Math field. This professor does NOT teach whatsoever. He MAY help students when we're struggling but he doesn't teach the class how to work math problems and neither does he show enthusiasm in what he does. If I were the Dean, I would of had him fired years ago. He SUCKS.

Glad to see he is still doing his thing. Had him back in '86 and I really liked his teaching style and made somewhat difficult material seem clear. Rock on!

If you fail Dr. Rose's class, it's your own fault. The guy will bend over backwards to answer any question you throw at him, and won't stop until you tell him you understand. The only negatives about him are his tendencies to speak quietly and write small on the board. Fantastic teacher though, and doesn't throw any rediculous curveballs on tests.

This teacher is terrible. STAY AWAY! Attendance is not mandatory which makes you never want to go. He only has 3 tests and a final and doesnt grade the homework. He is not helpful at all and doesn't answer your question fully. He sucks.
