I love this woman. One of the best prof's I ever had. Sure some ppl didnt do well in the course, but dont expect a good mark if you dont put the effort into it. Shes an amazingly nice person too! Wish I had her for more classes!

Katherine is the best! She's really interesting and engaging, as well as the nicest prof ever! She actually took time out of her day to help me with a personal problem. Exams were really tough, but loved the class!

Professor Arnup is excellent. She knows a lot about her studies and is very open minded. She is a very diligent worker and gets marks back promptly. She can tell when you put effort into an assignment and considers that in her marking. As long as you are a respectful student, you will enjoy her classes. Bare in mind lectures do get dry sometimes.

She's a very nice prof, but the class is so incredibly boring. Very leftist attitude and I know a very people in the class were uneasy about this. Didn't bother me. The information covered could be interesting, but she's been teaching for a long time, and I don't think she wants to change her teaching habits.

Great prof. Very helpful, does what she can to help her students succeed. Nice, funny, and if you attend class/do the readings/assignments and actually STUDY for the exams you'll do fine! Don't expect to do NOTHING and pass! Overall GREAT prof and I would def. recommend her to everyone!

Her assignments are worse than high school, keeping a portfolio on worksheets about time management may be helpful to some, but is a pain to most, when it is worth marks. Overall, an interesting class taught by a decent prof.

Interesting material, leads to very heated discussions. Follow the directions she gives for assignments right down to the letter and you will do well. Exam was long, but not too difficult. Make sure you take proper notes on her lectures and the videos that she shows, as it comprises a large portion of course material.

She was a pleasure to have as a prof, and I loved going to her class, though didn't manage to very often. I met some amazing people in her class and engaged in some heated yet hilarious discussions. Too much work involved, but not hard.

Worst class ever.. Katherine is so bias and marks unfair. She acts like a nice guy but she's not. Assignments are so lame - they resemble grade 9 stuff. The exam is easy however. The topics aren't that interesting because they aren't anything new - poverty, aborignials etc. Save yourself - don't take this course.

Fantastic Professor. My fav. class of my first year. She really cares about her students and wants to make sure we succeed! Knows how to make you laugh. She has me writing "behave" on my hand now too. Highly recommend this course as the topic is amazing and allows for LOTS of discussion. TEACH MORE UPPER YEAR CLASSES!!!!
