She absolutely drills into you the concepts that are important. There's plenty of extra credit in the class (which is rare) and it can be a real help at the end of the semester. She's always available in office hours, and via email. It's not a hard class, but you really have to understand the nuances of the concepts. She's a little eccentric too

Good teacher, but a difficult essay grader. Grades based on whether your essay agrees with her ideas. Fortunately she likes me, and I did a good job of pretending to agree with her. Despite this, she runs an excellent class with lots of discussion and room for class debate, keeping it interesting. Taking Social Psych with her next semester.

Her class was wonderful. She is absolutley brilliant, but at times confusing in her explanations. I love Sociology now because of her class. She is one of the best professors at F&M. It is a hard class though. She will be a tough grader so watch out!
