Great interesting class.. one of my favorite subjects!! However I did not get the grade I was expecting (even if I put a lot of efforts).The exams are really tricky (you must know ALL the details). I do recommend this class BUT if possible take the unsatisfactory grade option!!

Her classes are awesome and super interesting, and she is a very good teacher. But she is an intense marker and expects a level of understanding that a grad student would have.

This teacher is awful. She is extremely rude and does not provide any extra help. Her tests and quizzes are subjective and very difficult. Yes the material is interesting but she makes you so aggravated by the end of the term that it is not worth it. I've only gotten A- and A's at McGill and I got my first B in this class. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS

I loved this class. The material was really interesting...a good insight on addictions. She does look for specific answers and studying for the midterm and final was difficult. DIFFICULT TO GET AN A BUT WORTH SITTING THROUGH!

she is looking for specific answers to questions, so if you arent interested you wont want to devote all the study time that is necessary to do well. midterm avg was 65.5 and she considers this a typical average in the course. it's possible to do very well with hard work, but it's def not an easy A. truly fascinating though, well worth the effort

Dr. Gill resembles a lion and can be quite intimidating. The class is great though, if not tough. She goes through the material quite quickly and there is a lot of information. The final was killer (in 2003, at least). Only one person left the exam before the three hour mark. Very interesting material though and she offers multiple grading schemes.

I was terrified of her at first, but went to meet with her for help and fell in love with her! She's so smart and knows her stuff very well. It's a tough class, but not impossible. I'm a psych major and I pulled through okay.

One of the most interesting courses, I learned a ton. She is very captivating, great lecturer. That being said, tests are really challenging and specific. You must know your stuff very well. I was at a big disadvantage being a B.Sc Psych student - should be only taken by serious bio/physio students.

Exceptional class material. Combines aspects of neuropharmacology, anatomy, genetics, social psychology. Not easy though. Yeah, but Prof. Gill is kind of ****y. A little.

She's very passionate about the domain she is working in. HOWEVER, I do NOT recommend people to take this course unless they are in U3 biology/pharmacology. She goes very fast over difficult material. Hardest couse I've ever taken in my life.
