One thing I'll tell you guys reading this: if you're taking PSYC1003 and has 0 background on Psychology, your eyeballs will actually bulge out once you take your first test. The questions on the tests are questions you've never heard of; they're not in the lectures. All questions are based off the textbook. The only font she knows is Comic Sans

Comment:

She's a great teacher. Learned a lot in this class and would for sure like to have her again as a proff. If you're in psy 1001 make sure to read the text book and do the end of chapter tests as the tests she makes are just like the text.

Comment:

Although the class was hard and very test heavy, Kathy was a gem. She generally cares about her students and is an overall approachable prof, unlike some. As long as you study hard from the text, attendance is not necessary. She posts slides on D2L on a regular basis, which is very helpful. She does offer 5% extra credit which was awesome.

I took both PSYCH 1004 & 3033. Kathy is a great person; however, not a Prof. She talks very fast and sometimes it's hard for me to take notes. In order for to do well in her class, you need to *READ* the chapters from the textbook. Health Psyc is my fav course. In my opinion, I think one the easiest upper level psyc course than intro psyc course.

This class has probably been my worst university experience thus far. I am an A-student, study text material AND class notes heavily, prepare as much as possible, and still don't do well on her tests. She is totally unfair, and it almost seems as if she sets her students up for failure. 0/10, would not recommend:)

You need to read the textbook for 2 or 3 times. She speaks so quickly, and the explanations are not clear!Her exam covers the textbook and her notes!! Her notes is the worst notes I've ever seen!And the class is no organization!

kathy is such a nice professor and I am so happy I chose to take her for psychology. She is a clear lecturer and is very helpful when you need any kind of help.

Kathy is very nice, tests multiple choice and tricky especially if you did not read the text. Tests consist of what she says in class, not just what's on her slides, and everything in the text!!!!!

I adore Kathy! She is passionate and cares about her students! for tests, don't bother with her slides! She uses questions from the test, so READ READ READ! If you read the chapters 2 times each you should be good to go come test time! She is a lovely prof and I will take anything she offers!

Comment:

Tests are fairly easy if you studied the information. Told funny stories and great examples so it was easier to understand concepts and take things into perspective. Would take a class taught by her again in a heart beat. One negative thing was the grad students never had the test to view with you because she would forget to send the test to them.

I took intro Psych II and Health Psychology. She's one of the good and sweet professors at UNB. I wish she offer lots of courses and gives bonus points. Health Psych is one of my fav courses, not that hard class if you read the textbook and might considering going to grad school. She's very accommodating when you needed :)

I didn't attend her class at all, only for the midterms, because she was giving us one material and testing the opposite. I studied everything from the textbook. She is checking understanding of the material, not the definitions. However, she is a fair prof and will help you with all your problems !

I ADORE Kathy! By far one of my favorite profs- taken 3 classes with her & wish she taught more! She's an absolute sweetheart & is always willing to sit down & help in any way she can, very personable & chatty. Heavy textbook user- majority of her tests are multiple choice, but as long as you read it & make notes from it you'll be fine. LOVE HER :)
