Prof. Keightley was my favourite&most knowledgable prof that I have had so far being at Western. He makes lectures super interesting and talks about music in a really interesting way. He's very engaging and is super understanding about the thoughts of his students. I would 100% recommend this to anyone because of how awesome this class and he is.

Comment:

Kier was a beauty. I always left the class learning something new and feeling woke. Constantly made the lectures interesting and introduced me to new songs and concepts. Exam multiple choice can be a bit tough but he gives you an INSANE amount of choice in the essay and short answers. 10/10 would take again.

Loved this course. Naturally, it was hard to admit that I liked Ian Roderick's work as much as I do considering the very different approach Dr. Keightley takes. Without question, the fourth best professor I have ever had.

One of my favourite professors I've ever had! This class is awesome and I'd recommend it to anyone if you care about music or popular culture. Keightley's lectures are so engaging and interesting and the testing is definitely fair if you pay attention. I'm gonna look out for his classes in the future! (Plus: he looks like Arwin from Zack & Cody)

Keightley is a great professor, his lectures are completely worth it on Friday mornings. He makes lectures very interesting and fun, lots of visuals and videos! He's an easy marker and everyone in the class will generally get an 80+ average. He is in the loop with the latest celebrity gossip and will chat and laugh about it every class!
