Pluses: Nice guy, very supportive and kind, class meets only every other week, some projects are interesting/helpful. Minuses: BORING subject/class format/lectures, tests are insanely hard, must teach yourself EVERYTHING from very dry book, lots of grp wrk, must listen to countless hours of group presentations. STUDY for exams!!

Prof Garrett is extremely nice and he really just wants to see his students learn something from his class. He's very fair on his assignments and grading. Sometimes he is unclear, but doesn't penalize students for things they don't understand. I would recommend his class for any grad students.

Prof Garrett is extremely nice and he really knows his stuff. However, he tends to go on and on about irrelevant information - he loves to tell stories about his work experience and go off subject. He's fair on exams and hw, but is a little unclear sometimes.

Memorization is Key,the idea this class is easy, is not true, because he expects PERFECTION from memorizing spreadsheets. Got an C on quizzes off very minor, spacing, and spelling errors. Miss 5/200 possible mistakes and you get a C, miss more= D or F

Is very interested in the topic. Is animated throughout the auditing lectures and encourages the student to actually learn the topic and not just memorize a bunch of trivia for a series of exams.

He was scary at first when he went through the course but he was so EASY. If you attended class and understood the in-class assignments, the class was an easy A. The in-class assignments were exactly the same format as the quizzes with different numbers.

I thought it was a demanding class. Grades are based on attendance and QUIZES. Most of the quizes are mostly memorization. Quizes are sometimes a week apart giving you little time to memorize. Don't slack off any of the quizes if you need that A.

This is the only professor to take unless you want to hire a tutor. He gives you the exact test with different numbers and only requires you to read one chapter. Very nice guy. You have to go to class and it can be boring, but its better than failing!

Lame, LAME, boring, dull, puts you to sleep. Mine as well buy a financial/managerial textbook and read yourself to sleep instead of paying to sleep through this guy's class.
