Waters is one of those super interesting teachers that you just don't know how to read at first. He's chill and gets on tangents a lot, but Waters is wonderful at letting the students draw their own conclusions. He doesn't tell you an opinion, which has been many student's issue with him, but gives you all the info to do the thinking yourself.

Also took COM 513 and COM 180 with him. Amazing professor! He was one of the visiting faculty in Switzerland with our group. Such a great professor and truly cares about everyone he teaches.

Nice guy but not a fan of the class. The class is super boring and really theoretical which is hard for me to grasp. His lectures are meh because he gets off on tangents and can really lose you by spending too long on a topic. He grades papers really tough but tests are easy. Lots of work (2 pg paper/week).
