There are 4 essays and a group project plus daily homework. Was really nice and gave us extensions on our essays. However, it all worked out that we had 3 essays due in the last week of class. Her final is a take home final instead of an in class essay. If you do all the work you will pass.

I loved Kim! She's a great professor, super funny and laid back. Go to her office hours, she helps out a lot. I learned more than literature in this class, shes really good with life's lessons. A little tough on grading, but she gives lots of feedback that will only make your writing better.

A lot of people say she is a hard grader, but I don't think its THAT bad. If you visit her at office hours before essays are due to go over your rough draft then she will tell you what to add, take out, etc..very helpful. 4 essays, last one was 40% of overall grade. I got an overall B in the class and did them last minute. No final.

She tried to make conversations & relationships with students, open-minded, easy to joke around with. even though she is a good teacher, she is one of the HARDEST graders out of the english teachers. she is willing to help you, but even with her help there there is still a lot to be done. there were around 3 essays in and one in class.

Professor Kim Turner was a great English teacher. Gives you a syllabus with a play by play of what assignments and tasks you are going to do the whole quarter. She is very organized and quick to respond to emails or questions. A lot of work to do in her class, but what class doesn't require attendance. HARD grader, but great teacher.

Fun and Passionate Teacher. Weird at times. First Impression - very chill/relaxed. But a very hard grader and makes you do a lot of work in the class. It is worth it though. Learned a lot in her class. Just follow the syllabus and do your work everyday.
