Comment:
Slight accent but not hard to understand if you pay attention. He does not take himself too seriously but he knows his stuff. Prof. Kim is a great guy and is helpful at office hours. Grades are given based on how the class does, so an 80 was usually an A on his exams, 68 a B, and 56 a C. Not too difficult or too much work.

ECON is impossible and he knows it. Often times exam averages were 50% but he uses a bell curve so as long as you got the average grade you got a C. the only way to fail is to be one of he dumbest five people in the class. I got a 70 on one exam and an 80 in the other but still got an A in the class.

I was not a fan of Dr. Kim's Master's Economic (Business) class. He is difficult to understand; even when you ask him to explain something. I would recommend refreshing your calculus skills prior to his class. I had a 63.4% going into the final which made me nervous as all get-out. Ended up with a B. Hell of a curve.

This graduate level course was extremely challenging! Kim expects you to read and understand the material prior to class, as he flies through the chapters. Somewhat of a difficult teacher but he is always willing to help and his massive curve helps too! Understanding the homework problems is important, as most of the exam questions are similar.

Econ2020 needs a lot of work so be prepared, I learned a lot in this class and Kim is willing to help all the time also, there will be a weekly hw which is little hard but once you do the hw, exam won't be hard. got B

I thought he was a great teacher took me a week or two to understand him clearly. He really wants you to do well and is always willing to help. Gives out a lot of extra credit if you are willing to write your homework problems on the board for class.

DONT LISTEN TO THE COMMENTS BELOW. GREAT TEACHER!! The people who don't get an A have to try not to. If you do the exercises, it is the same exact thing on the exam! Also, he adds a HUGE curve to the exams and you can go from a D to an A.

He's hard to understand, he complicates things, and the weekly homework is tough with little credit. I would not recommend microeconomics. Especially at 8 in the morning.

Good teacher for ECON302, Intermediate Micro. He does weekly quizzes online that are a pain, but you have to do them if you want a good grade.

His class is only for serious students. You need to go to class and do homework to get what's going on and the tests are hard, but he is still a good teacher. I find the guy to be hilarious but I was the only one laughing.

He's not that great at teaching math so brush up on all math skills before taking his class. His homeworks take FOREVER and they are impossible but worth little credit toward your grade. Nice guy but somewhat impersonal.

Having had to retake this course, Prof Kim is doing a MUCH better job explaining than my previous professor. Homework everyday. all Notes online as Powerpoint, so you can print them out and actually listen in class, instead of just writing the whole time.
