Pete makes difficult material understandable and fun. He gives regular pop quizzes to make sure you're keeping up with the reading material and frequent homework that he writes himself, but the exams mimic the homework, so study it well. He is an excellent educator, extremely intelligent and he truly cares about his students.

Hated my first two Econ classes, but this one was pretty rad. Taught very well. Writes his own homeworks and exams to make it an easy transistion from class to homework to exams. Take him!

Great Prof! He is very helpful, and makes econ a easy as it can be. Econ is a rough subject, but with Vanderhart it isnt too bad. His exams are tough, but he gives lots of assignments and quizzes to make up extra points.

He explains everything really well and if you have a question he really goes out of his way to give you a great, thought out answer, not just something to shut you up and keep going. Tests are hard, but hey, it's ECON. Lots of quizzes and homeworks but they aren't hard if you look over what he says. Great teacher!
