He is very hard to understand and he confuses himself very often. Don't bother asking him a question because he wont understand you. The material is very difficult, but as long as you turn in work he will pass you. I would advise to wait for him to retire and not take his class because I learned nothing from him.

He's really hard to understand. He stutters a lot, and his English is not very good. Not very helpful when you ask questions. However, the class itself was very easy to get by. All the test problems were even problems in the book and all the slides can be found on the book's website.

extreamly difficult. Uses book quite a bit (often referencing the book in figures in the lecture). He uses *his* book that happens to have typos in the diagrams that he uses to explain the theory (like floating point math). My advice is to get the material in advance if you dont want something more than a C in the class.

Unrealistically difficult. Curves frequently to the 5 or 10% range. Rarely gives partial credit. Confuses himself during lecture and never goes beyond the slides. The only way you'll get a good grade is if you cheat (which happens frequently) or make his class your fulltime job.

Great instructor! Highly intelligent! Classes are difficult, but if you used to work hard you'll learn A LOT! Always ready to help, especially if he sees that you are in the class not as a body, but want to learn! Some don't like him because he makes you to work, but that's what for we are there. Recommend if you are at school not just for fun.

HARDEST. CLASS. EVER. DR. JIN IS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE BUT CANNOT RELAY INFORMATION EFFECTIVELY. VERY WILLING TO HELP STUDENTS THAT WILL PUT FORTH AN EFFORT. DIFFICULT TO COMMUNICATE WITH AT TIMES. AVERAGE EXAM SCORE WAS 25-35% IN MY CLASS. HOMEWORK TOOK HOURS UPON HOURS TO COMPLETE, USUALLY WITH MARGINAL SUCCESS. DIFFICULT TO LEARN FROM.
